# Infinity - Non-Technical

INF is the token representing Sanctum’s Infinity, which is a shared liquidity pool of many Solana Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs).

Infinity serves two core purposes:

1. Providing liquidity for LST to LST, LST to SOL (unstaked), and SOL to LST swaps; and
2. Allowing holders to earn staking rewards from the LSTs it holds, plus additional fees from swaps.

### **LST Liquidity**

Infinity’s primary purpose is to create a shared liquidity layer between all Sanctum LSTs and many non-Sanctum LSTs. Today, LSTs struggle with a fundamental liquidity problem: when a user wants to swap in and out of their LST, how can they be sure there will be enough liquidity available to service that swap?

This is what Infinity solves. It does this by allowing (almost) any LST to be deposited into it or swapped through it.

Some example swaps are:

* deposit LST, withdraw SOL;
* deposit LST, withdraw different LST;
* deposit SOL, withdraw LST;
* deposit SOL, mint INF; and
* deposit INF (redeem), withdraw SOL.

Infinity charges a small fee to facilitate these swaps.

### **SOL yield for holders**

Infinity holds a basket of LSTs inside. Each epoch (approximately 2 days), these LSTs earn MEV, block rewards, and priority fees from the network. When they do, this SOL value increase accrues inside INF proportional to the LSTs INF holds. In this way, holders of INF are growing their SOL stake inside INF by the weighted-average yield of the LSTs in the basket.

{% endhint %}

But this isn’t the complete picture of INF’s returns. As noted above, INF also earns fees swaps which are routed through it. When there is a lot of demand for swapping LSTs and SOL on the network, INF’s return (yield) can spike as it earns fees for providing liquidity for these swaps in excess of the yield it’s already earning from the LSTs it holds.

For a recent example, during the market flash-crash on October 10. 2025, INF earned a 26.12% APY epoch return.

Notably, INF has integrations with some of the largest DeFi protocols and aggregators on Solana. These integrations allow INF to power much of the LST swap volume on Solana.

### **Infinity’s Roadmap**

INF is a cornerstone of Sanctum. By growing INF, Sanctum is able to provide more swap liquidity for our partners and the broader LST ecosystem on Solana. In order to do this, INF must serve its holders with strong SOL compounding performance.

INF is far from finished. We are continuing to optimize and improve INF.

### **Summary**

Sanctum powers many of the largest LSTs on Solana. Infinity exists In order to provide crucial liquidity required for these LSTs, and by doing so, earns SOL staking rewards plus swap fees for INF holders.
