Yes, buying an LST using SOL does mean you are staking into the LST. This is because you are going from a non-yield bearing token (SOL) to a yield-bearing token (xLST). The LST that you just bought will start accruing staking yields according to its APY.
Yes, selling an LST for SOL does mean you are unstaking from the LST. This is because you are going from a yield-bearing token (xLST) back to a non-yield bearing token (SOL). In fact, you are unstaking your LST instantly and can expect to receive your SOL immediately.
When you trade an LST for another (e.g. you buy yLST using xLST), you are simply unstaking from one LST and staking into the other LST. You will begin earning the staking yields of the new LST that you bought the moment you receive your new LSTs.
Trades done via are either route through ourselves or through jupiter, whichever gives the best price.
