How to support your favourite creators and teams using Creator Coins

Being a Supporter

Supporting a creator means holding their Creator Coin in your wallet. By simply holding any amount of a creator's Coin, you automatically pledge your staking yields to them, providing ongoing support with no extra effort. There’s no minimum balance required for this; as long as you hold a non-zero amount of the creator’s Coin, you’re considered an active supporter and belong to a community of like-minded fans.

How to buy Creator Coins

Buying Creator Coins is simply making a normal token swap, here's how to get started:

1. Navigate to the Creator's Page Start by visiting the page of the creator you want to support. The URL should be https://beta.sanctum.so/<creator>. Look for the "Support" button on their page.

2. Connect Your Wallet Make sure your wallet is connected and has enough SOL to cover the gas fees and other swap fees. We'd recommend to have at least 0.005 SOL in your wallet.

3. Complete the Purchase Select the amount of Coins you'd like to buy, and which token you'd like to make the purchase using (default is SOL). Confirm the transaction in your wallet and the Coins will be added to your wallet once the transaction is successful.

That's it! With your Creator Coins safely in your wallet, your support begins instantly, and you're officially part of the creator's community.

Where to buy Creator Coins

You can buy Creator Coins on our beta site https://beta.sanctum.so. Since Creator Coins are SPL tokens, you can also buy them from your favourite Solana DEXes and wallets.

⚠️ Important notes

1. You need to hold your Creator Coins in your wallet to be considered supporting creators and earning Seeds. Any Creator Coins transferred out of your wallet, including being used in DeF, will not be accounted for.

2. Any derivatives of any Creator Coins, for example LP tokens from Creator Coins pools, will not be used to account for support and Seeds.

3. Sanctum has not set up any DeFi integrations for any Creator Coins yet (as of 09 Dec 2024).
